San Miguel de Allende is a picturesque enclave located about 4 hours drive north of Mexico City. The city is renowned for his colonial architecture, cobble stoned streets and meticulous preservation of its historic past. The town was where Ignacio Allende, hero of Mexico's War of Independence launched his campaign. Populated by locals and ex-pats alike, the thriving artist's community, I first tested my Fuji mirrorless camera for a story at the famed Dios de los Locos weekend celebration and a bit of life around the town.
